How to set it up in Copilot
Five steps, once.
- Copy the text from your download page.
- Open Copilot and click the gear next to your name at the bottom left. Choose Settings.
- Choose Personalization and click Manage next to Customize Copilot.
- Paste the text into the field and save.
- Open a new chat and ask something about your work.
Do you work with Microsoft 365 Copilot? Then click ... Settings and more at the top right and choose Chat settings. Choose Personalization, then the Custom instructions tile, then Edit instructions. Paste the text into the field and click Save instructions.
What to expect, and what not to
Copilot follows your instructions, but it is still an AI. Copilot holds the short version of your second brain. Your clients, projects and details are in the separate files and you give them yourself in the conversation. Always check important texts such as quotes yourself.

Does it work with the free Copilot app?
Yes. It works with a personal Microsoft account, without a subscription.
Do I need a paid Copilot licence?
No. In Microsoft 365 too, you can add the text under Custom instructions without a paid Copilot licence.
Can I change my second brain later?
Yes. You edit the text in Customize Copilot yourself, or you book a refresh. After a refresh you paste the new text.
Can I put my second brain in another AI too?
